Trip Overview
Our 3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking tour is the perfect choice for travelers with limited time who still want a genuine encounter with mountain gorillas in the wild. Departing from Kampala or Entebbe, this compact safari takes you into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site sheltering nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Along the way, you’ll cross the Equator at Kayabwe for photos, wind through the Kigezi highlands, and settle into a lodge suited to your budget, from community-run guesthouses to luxury forest lodges. On Day 2, you’ll trek into the misty forest with an expert guide, spending a full hour observing a habituated gorilla family up close — an encounter that stays with you long after you’ve left Uganda.
